8th Annual BFCN Aim 2 Achieve Awards

Isadore Gadoo​

Isadore Gadoo is a recent graduate of Western Technical-Commercial School in the Toronto District School Board where she earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. She is currently an undergraduate student at Algonquin College in the Heritage Institute. Isadore is working towards a diploma in Heritage Carpentry and Joinery and aspires to be a carpenter in the future.​

Kadijah Sesay

Kadijah Sesay is a recent graduate of Western Technical-Commercial School in the Toronto District School Board where she earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. She is currently an undergraduate student at York University in the Faculty of Health. Kadijah is working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health Science and aspires to be a cardiothoracic surgeon in the future.

Devron Swaby

Devron Swaby is a recent graduate of George Harvey Collegiate Institute in the Toronto District School Board where he earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. He is currently an undergraduate student at McMaster University in the Faculty of Science. Devron is working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and aspires to be a physician-scientist and general surgeon in the future.

Dominique Walker

Dominique Walker is a recent graduate of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School in the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board where she earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. She is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa in the Faculty of Social Sciences. Dominique is working towards a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Modern Languages and aspires to be an international human rights lawyer in the future.

Jayden Blackwood

Jayden Blackwood is a recent graduate of the University of Toronto where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Science. He is currently a graduate student at the University of Toronto in the Institute for Management and Innovation. Jayden is working towards a Master's degree in Management of Innovation (MMI) and aspires to work within the health technology field to improve patient outcomes in the future.

Teshyla Bailey

Teshyla Bailey is a recent graduate of the University of Waterloo where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Toronto in the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work specializing in Human Services Management. Teshyla is working towards a Master's degree in Social Work and aspires to continue her efforts as a community builder.
